Holiday party

Each year our squadron does a Christmas party, but the last 2 years we've chosen to have a "holiday" party instead and had it in January, when things have slowed (slown?) down. This year it was a casino party - it was great fun. We use play money, but usually everyone else is drunk enough that it's still fun times!

Tom's Fini Flight

Okay, so these pictures are actually 2 months old, but I wanted to share them anyway. The week after Brighton was born, Tom had his final flight ever in the T-6. Tradition is you fly your last flight (fini flight) and when you land, your spouse or kids spray you with a firehose. So, even though I had just had Brighton 5 days earlier, I was not about to miss this opportunity to spray Tom down! Our wonderful friend Camille came over to stay with Brighton and I went to the flight line to spray the man down!

Last Weekend's Party

Ahh. guitar hero - I'm not such a fan, I much prefer Halo, there's something about shooting and blowing up my husband that's good therapy! Tom was so thrilled to see me playing guitar hero that he took pictures of me doing it! That's my brother Steve and my sister Shauna.

This is Steve & Trisha's son Corbyn holding Brighton. That's my sister Krystal in the background. Corbyn was alright with Brighton, when she started crying he said, "Uh oh, what's wrong?" And when I left the room to nurse her, he said "Where's baby?" and came looking for us. Callin, on the other hand, couldn't get enough of Brighton - he gave her kisses all weekend long!

Brighton's Blessing

So, we blessed Brighton on Dec 30 - all that hoopla for a 3 minute blessing - gotta love it! My parents came down, as did Tom's parents, his grandma, his 2 brothers Matt & Adam, and then my brothers Josh & Sean and sisters Shauna & Krystal. And, as a special Christmas present, my dad flew in my brother Steve, his wife Trish and my 2 sweet nephews - Corbyn & Callin! It was absolutely crazy having that many people at our house, but I loved it!

Alright, so I had no intention of ever starting a blog, it just sounds so...I don't know, cheesy? In fact, I secretly made fun of you guys who did blog (I'm talking about you Becca, Shaina and Shannon!) But, I have repented of my ignorant ways and have discovered that it's the easiest way to share pictures of our family without clogging up everyone's email. So, laugh all you want and say I told you so, but here's our blog - we'll see how well I can keep it up! I've also decided that now that girls outnumber boys in this house that the background gets to be pretty!
